The Wired Faravahar

This Wire Sculpture project was created during my 3D design class in spring of 2021. The design was inspired by the Faravahar Symbol of Zoroastrianism, an ancient Iranian religion that was practiced by the majority of the Iranian people before Islam. The first image was created using photoshop to place the sculpture inside Persepolis, the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. For this project, black annealed steel wire was used as a material to create the 3D sculpture. Cross-section, Gesture and Rhythm/Repetition techniques were all used in this project.
